My application was rejected because my card isn’t valid—but it’s not expired and works fine. What happened?

This usually happens for one of two reasons:

1. Neo-bank or online-only debit cards (like those from digital banks) may not be accepted by some lenders.
2. Credit cards can’t be used to fund financing applications, since they’re already a form of credit—and most lenders won’t allow one credit line to fund another.
